Janet Jackson to open this year’s VMA awards

Janet Jackson has been confirmed as the opening act for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. Jackson is set to perform a tribute to her late brother Michael Jackson at the show which takes place this Sunday at New York’s Radio City Music Hall

Janet has been hard at work in the lead up to the show reportedly pulling 15 hour days in rehearsals sessions perfecting the performance.

Other performances on the bill include Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Pink, Wale, Taylor Swift and many more.

The VMA’s will also paying a special tribute to Michael Jackson’s greatest video performances throughout the show

I am really looking forward to Janet’s performance, I’m sure it will be a spectacular event that will live up to all our expectations.

The show will be aired on MTV at 9pm this Sunday!
