After a couple of months of delays including dentist appointments and courthouses burning down, today Dwayne Carter aka Lil Wayne was finally sentenced to 1 year in prison for gun possession charges.
The rapper will spend the year at notorious Riker Island jail where it is said he will serve his sentence under protective custody, meaning that he will be separated from other inmates.
Despite the fact that he'll be in jail, fans will still be seeing plenty of him as he has pre-recorded at least 10 music videos all to be released while he is incarcerated.
Wayne signed off to fans via his twitter page with the below tweet
"Law is mind without reason, I'll return."

I didn't even know this had happened - the courthouses burning down sounds a bit suspicious. He has been a busy boy recording 10 videos. Your blog is so bloody informative.
