Video premier Mar J Blige - The One
The track first showcased here back in July, is steadily climbing the Billboard charts, currently sitting at number 36 in the Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
Check the video out here;
Mary’s looking great in this video and I love all the outfit changes however her dancing comes across a little stiff in parts... maybe she should have just stuck to the model poses?

Remembering Michael Jackson on his birthday
Today August 29th would have marked Michael Jackson - the greatest entertainer of our lifetime's 51st birthday.
By now he would have been part way through his 'This Is It' residency at London's O2 Arena. Thousands of fans would have gotten the chance to see him perform and thousands more would be waiting in anticipation for their concert date.
I was lucky enough to go to his ‘Dangerous’ tour and can still recall how spectacular that show was despite still being about 8 years old.
Although we will never have the chance to see the King of Pop in person again, his undeniable influence on music of all genres lives on.
With countless tracks and a huge vault of pioneering music videos to choose from, I chose this as my top Michael Jackson tune;
I then thought of another 15 songs and videos I could have chosen but decided to leave that up to you!
What was your favourite MJ tune?

Sunday at V Festival Chelmsford
Fatigue fought off I made my way as far eastside as I have ever been to meet friends at Gants Hill. Once all accounted for we were driven in style (my friend's Jeep) to the festival.
40 minutes later as we were driving through the never ending country roads, it did seem at one point that we would never get there so you can imagine my excitement when I saw a sign for Chelmsford!
20 minutes later… What? We’re STILL not there?!
Now do not get me started on the entrance gates... every 'official' had a different version of how to get to our gate, and at one point to our dismay two of them started arguing with each other about who was giving the best directions! We just wanted to get inside!
Once inside our VIP/side stage/Guest area we breathed a sigh of relief and started the hunt for food! A gourmet hot dog later we took time out to laze in the sun listening to the not so upbeat tunes of Athlete who were performing on the 4n Music stage.
Next on for 4 Music was Katy Perry who performed hits I Kissed and Girl and my personal favorite Waking Up In Vegas.
We then decided to check out the Arena stage and after a 20 minute hike through the crowds we made it just in time to catch Human League.
As far back as we were the atmosphere in the tent was electric and the crowd was buzzing. The group performed hits Electric Dreams and Don’t you want me.
Once free from the Arena we headed to the Louder Lounge aka press/pr/guests playground. This journey led us past the V main stage where Snow patrol were beginning their 'slash your wrists set' (joking), they do have some great tracks, just not the most cheerful…
We eventually made it to the lounge where we would spend the rest of the evening with friends, drinks and food! Plus our own personal DJ!
After a few hours spent enjoying the shenanigans of the free bar and instant photo booth.. It was time to start thinking about the journey back to London. Luckily the shuttle bus to Chelmsford station was just around the corner so after literally dragging ourselves from the party we headed towards the bus stop.
There was however no bus and all other were cancelled due to road closures. Suddenly flashbacks of the horrors encountered during my trek out of V Festival 2008 came flooding back!
“Go round to the other side” said the official, “walk around the edge, you will avoid the crowds and get there faster”... 1 hour later we were still walking down a path that lead us into an abyss with no lights!
We soon decided to take a detour and go the long way round through the crowd and we managed to navigate ourselves to a fleet of waiting buses!
One train journey and an Addison Lee later I was back home just in time to catch the 3 and a half hour's sleep before work on Monday morning, but it was all worth it and I will be back for the third time in August 2010.

Chris Brown - new music I'm a Changed Man
Chris Brown has a new track out titled Changed Man, now judging by recent events, one would naturally assume this track was about him redeeming himself and apologising to Rihanna for his behaviour.
Listen to the track here;
This sounds like an apology track to me and to most who have heard it, however the Brown camp are quick to deny this has anything to do with the Rihanna incident. They have said this is an unrelated new track taken from his upcoming new album Graffiti. I think we all know the truth...
I just love that he's included the line "Everybody hates Chris" in the chorus (I love that show!)
What do you think of the track?

Jay Sean new music with Cash Money
They both feature on a new track titled Written On Her, watch it here;
This is a slight departure from his usual style. Jay Sean is still sounding good although I am still undecided about whether I like the track or not.
He is however getting a huge amount of exposure via this label which can only be good for a UK artist and with people like Drake and Lil Wayne to count as label mates i'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of him.
Estelle's new jewellery line
Mary J Blige acting role plus new video
Check out this clip of her in the film and singing the movie’s soundtrack;
The film also stars Taraji P. Henson as a young nightclub singer named April who is suddenly burdened with the care of her three nieces and nephews which forces her to change her lifestyle bla bla.. (I'm sure it's a great film)
RnB crooner Gladys Knight also stars alongside Tyler Perry and Marvin Winans in the film which is set for release in the US on September 11th.

Exclusive 20 second preview of Jay Z's Run this town
Watch it here;
This really is a"snippet" as you only get a momentary glimpse of Jay, RiRi and Kanye and their mob who look like they are in a battle to take over the town.
This clip has definitely helped with the build up in anticipation for the video's release, I hope the full version lives up to the hype!
Kano's on the Auto-tune...
Check it out here;
I love this track! The vocoder works really well over the synth style beat.
First played on MistaJam’s 1 Xtra show this is definitely going to be a big tune to look out for in the next couple of months leading up to its release in October.

Sean John new era
Catch the Diddy blog here;
I quite like the old logo myself but I guess it is important to evolve and reinvent!
Jay Z and Oprah in the projects?
The pair walked around the Marcy projects where the rapper grew up and took time to sit down for a chat outside his grandmother’s house.
This however was not just a trip down memory lane for Jay, rumour has it he will soon be making an appearance on her show to promote upcoming album The Blueprint III.
I guess since young Chris Brown has now officially been bumped from the schedule there was room to fit someone else in!

Whitney's official first single!
This is Whitney’s official first single Million Dollar Bill!
Listen to it here;
The track was written and produced by the lovely couple that is Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz.
I really like this single, it's certainly a bit more upbeat than previously leaked track I Look To You posted here; http://heathermusic.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-music-whitney-houston-i-look-to-you.html on July 31st. Looking forward to hearing some more from Ms Houston.

Looking forward to hearing some more from Jeremih!

Eminem takes a swipe back at Mariah
Listen to Eminem’s response here;
Wow! So that's pretty stern warning that he’s given to Mariah.
Despite what went on with the two of them all those years ago, Slim Shady sounds like he is still very bitter. His claims to still have pictures and voicemails from the time are making him sound a little obsessed to me…

Drake takes a tumble...
All was going well until this…
You’ll be happy to hear that he has finally taken time out to rest as he later announced via Twitter;
All is well…on the bus laying down…getting surgery this week but I’m walking
Get well soon Drake!
Kelly vs Beyonce
The American Idol star was so worried that people would think she copied Beyonce that she tried to stop her label RCA from releasing the single. However it seems the label were keen to cash in on the drama and released it anyway!
Watch the video for Kelly's new single 'Already Gone' here;
Kelly Clarkson - Already Gone [Exclusive]
by Henrietta-Aime-Fumer_Tv
Kelly told listeners on CBS radio last week "No one's gonna be sittin' at home, thinking, 'Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to.' No, they're just gonna be saying I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said, 'I don't understand. Why would you do that?' "
Listen to Beyonce's Halo here;
Beyonce - Halo (New)
by Le-Tour-2Lor
Kelly maintains that she did not want to release the single out of respect for Beyonce. However producer Tedder has responded to Clarksons's claims by saying
"They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically and lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful and absurd."
With all this hype around the single, it looks like the label made a good move by deciding to release the single as it is getting lots of publicity!
What do you think, are the songs that similar??
